RadioFrame pushes MC-Series Basestations

August 22, 2016

RadioFrame Networks is to initiate a more intensified sales and marketing intuitive to boost its small footprint, low-cost wireless base stations and MC-Series product portfolio for iDEN operators.

The MC-Series base stations, which are already in use with iDEN networks globally, are apparently producing enough financial savings to warrant replacement of legacy iDEN sites as well as further network expansion.

As well as utilizing any existing iDEN Network Management tools, the MC-Series has an embedded web server, which is capable of remote configuration management, specialised alarming, diagnostics and troubleshooting.

RadioFrame’s System Manager which comes standard and is accessible via any web browser, provides iDEN features that are unique to RadioFrame.

The System Manager allows operation and optimisation of the network infrastructure while at the same time minimising truck rolls.

Technical details

The MC-Series iDEN base stations leverage the development experience from RadioFrame’s distributed radio network product platform.

The platform is founded on a Layer 2, packet-based architecture with Ethernet control of low-power radios.

Additionally, the company announced last year an Outdoor Pole Mount (OPM) product and recently the Standard Capacity system that adds to the current RadioFrame portfolio of iDEN base stations, and the company’s Pico and Femtocell offerings in GSM, WCDMA and 4G technologies.
